Other notable efforts over 1200m included Kazing, who strode out well to finish in 1-28.5, and a group including Evermore, Zobel, Tyche, Darringer, and Bellucci, all of whom maintained steady work. In the 1000m gallops, Preview moved attractively to clock 1-13, while Star Of India also pleased observers with a 1-15.5 effort.

The morning session concluded with shorter work on the inner and outer sand tracks.
