In a thrilling encounter at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, U Mumba TT secured a narrow 9-6 victory over PBG Pune Jaguars, marking their second consecutive win in Ultimate Table Tennis Season 7. Manush Shah, a key player for U Mumba, showcased his resilience despite a shaky start in his singles match.

Although Shah faced defeat in his opening singles match against S.F.R. Snehit, he rebounded impressively in the mixed doubles event. Partnering with Anna Hursey, the duo delivered a commanding performance, winning 3-0 against Snehit and Prithika Pavade. Their synergy was evident as Shah's sharp angles and Hursey's steady play helped U Mumba take a decisive 6-3 lead in the overall tie.

Earlier in the match, Hursey had leveled the score for U Mumba by defeating Diya Chitale 2-1. The Welsh player’s tactical counter-attacking style proved effective, allowing her to maintain an unbeaten streak this season. This victory set the stage for the crucial mixed doubles match, where the pair's collaboration shone brightly.

In the reverse men’s singles, Lilian Bardet delivered a standout performance against Omar Assar, the highest-ranked player in the league. Despite U Mumba's commanding lead, Pune Jaguars managed to narrow the gap when Prithika Pavade triumphed over Anusha Kutumbale in the final singles match, winning 2-1.
