Injury Updates and Roster Adjustments
While Charbonnet remains unavailable, the Seahawks received positive news regarding right guard Anthony Bradford. After missing the previous five games with a knee injury, Bradford is expected to return to the lineup on Sunday. Macdonald indicated that the team plans to utilize him for the full duration of the game, ending the recent rotation of Christian Haynes and Beau Stephens at the position. The team is required to officially activate Bradford from injured reserve by Saturday.
The injury report remains a concern for Seattle as they look to break a two-game losing streak. Linebacker Chazz Surratt has been ruled out with a calf injury, and weak-side linebacker Drake Thomas will miss his second consecutive game due to an ankle issue. Additionally, the team listed several players as questionable, including outside linebackers DeMarcus Lawrence and Uchenna Nwosu, safety Nick Emmanwori, quarterback Drew Lock, and outside linebacker Connor O'Toole. All five questionable players were limited participants in Friday's practice session.
In the absence of Charbonnet and rookie Jadarian Price, who remains on injured reserve with a chest injury, the Seahawks will rely on a backfield rotation consisting of Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Velus Jones Jr. Price is expected to be eligible for a return to action next week. In other roster moves, the Seahawks promoted wide receiver and special teams contributor Irv Charles from the practice squad to the active roster, while cornerback Trevon Diggs was released and subsequently re-signed to the practice squad.
