San Francisco 49ers Fullback Kyle Juszczyk Sidelined with Knee Injury

San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk is facing a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday's 24-14 win against the Denver Broncos. Reports indicate that the Pro Bowl veteran has been diagnosed with a knee sprain and a bone bruise, an assessment confirmed by an MRI scan on Monday.

The injury occurred early in the fourth quarter with 14:03 remaining on the clock. During a scramble to the left, quarterback Brock Purdy connected with Juszczyk for a 16-yard gain. Following the reception, Broncos defensive back Jahdae Barron made a significant hit on the fullback, impacting his knee and midsection. Juszczyk required immediate attention from the medical staff on the field before being assisted to the sideline. He spent time in the medical tent before watching the remainder of the contest from the bench, having finished the game with two receptions for 28 yards.

Injury Updates for Sigle and Stout

The 49ers' medical report from Sunday's matchup also includes updates on safety Marques Sigle and slot cornerback Upton Stout, both of whom were unable to complete the game due to injuries. Sigle's afternoon was interrupted twice; he initially left the field in the third quarter with a stinger before returning to action. However, he was forced out for good with 2:15 remaining after sustaining an ankle injury near the Denver sideline. He concluded his performance with six tackles.

Upton Stout also dealt with physical setbacks, suffering a shoulder injury during the third quarter. Although he managed to return to the field with 2:07 left in the game, he was unable to finish the final defensive series. Like Sigle, Stout recorded six tackles before his departure. Juszczyk, a consistent presence for the 49ers who has earned selection to the past 10 Pro Bowls, currently holds four receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown for the season. The team now prepares for his absence, which is projected to last between two and three weeks.
