Giants owner John Mara was among those who approached the player to offer support before he left the facility.

Addressing the potential loss, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy acknowledged the difficulty of the situation while emphasizing the team's need to maintain focus. In the immediate aftermath of the injury, Braxton Berrios took over slot duties with the first-team offense. The situation may also create new opportunities for other receivers on the roster, including veteran Odell Beckham Jr., who has been competing for a spot while working primarily with the second-team unit. Beckham showed promise during Tuesday's session, recording four catches, while Darnell Mooney also delivered one of his strongest performances of the summer.

Austin, who recorded 31 receptions for 372 yards and three touchdowns last season, signed a one-year deal with the Giants earlier this year. The team is currently awaiting medical confirmation on his status as they navigate the remainder of their training camp schedule.
