Lakeeta Vaccaro Testifies in Civil Assault-and-Battery Trial Against Tyreek Hill

Lakeeta Vaccaro, the wife of NFL All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill, testified in a Florida court on Tuesday, detailing a series of alleged physical assaults and verbal abuse incidents. The testimony marked the first day of a civil assault-and-battery trial, which is currently proceeding as part of the couple's ongoing divorce case.

The court proceedings, which were broadcast online, saw Vaccaro provide over three hours of testimony and undergo initial cross-examination. The allegations presented by Vaccaro include multiple instances of physical violence, some of which she claimed occurred while she was pregnant. NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy confirmed on Tuesday that the allegations against Hill remain under review in accordance with the league's personal conduct policy.

Details of Alleged Abuse and Court Testimony

During her testimony, Vaccaro described a pattern of behavior that she alleged escalated over time. She recounted an incident on July 12, 2024, at a hotel in Bristol, Connecticut, where she alleged Hill attempted to punch her in the stomach while she was pregnant. Vaccaro testified that she was able to deflect the blow with her hands, stating that the incident would have resulted in direct impact had she not intervened. She further alleged that Hill pulled her hair, damaged her sunglasses, and directed verbal abuse toward her during that visit.

Vaccaro also provided accounts of several other incidents throughout 2024 and 2025. These included an argument on January 10, 2024, regarding a post-nuptial agreement, during which she alleged Hill grabbed her by the neck, twisted her breasts, and wrestled her to a bed. Other allegations included an incident in November 2024, where she claimed Hill spit in her face after becoming angry over a pregame outfit, and an April 2025 confrontation at their Miami condominium that was reportedly captured on a nanny camera.

Legal Context and Defense Cross-Examination

The court reviewed several exhibits, including text messages and photographic evidence, to support Vaccaro's claims. In response to questions regarding why more photographic evidence was not provided, Vaccaro stated that she only captured images when injuries were immediately visible. The defense team for Hill focused their cross-examination on potential inconsistencies regarding the timeline of events, the couple's relationship history, and employment details.

Hill’s legal representatives noted that police reports from certain incidents, such as a January 2024 dispute in Orlando and a separate incident involving a cigar butt, did not result in charges or documented signs of physical abuse. Vaccaro acknowledged that she had declined to press charges in some previous instances. The trial is scheduled to continue with further cross-examination on Wednesday. This legal development follows a previous 2014 case involving Hill, in which he pleaded guilty to domestic violence and completed three years of court-ordered probation.
