Incident occurs during final play of the half
The injury took place with only 10 seconds remaining before halftime. Rather than opting to run out the clock, the Jets chose to execute a final offensive play. Trayanum received a handoff from quarterback Cade Klubnik but was immediately met by Giants defender Trace Ford upon crossing the line of scrimmage.
The scene on the field was somber as teammates and coaching staff gathered around the injured player, with many seen kneeling in prayer while medical personnel attended to him. After several minutes of evaluation, Trayanum was loaded onto a cart and taken off the field to be transported to a nearby medical facility.
