In a thrilling matchup at the 2026 NBA Summer League held at Cox Pavilion, the Phoenix Suns edged out the Milwaukee Bucks with a final score of 95-88 on Monday. The game was marked by intense competition, featuring nine ties and 18 lead changes, with neither team able to establish a significant advantage throughout.

As the game neared its conclusion, the Bucks held a narrow lead at 87-84 with just 2:30 left on the clock. However, the Suns rallied impressively, finishing the game with an 11-1 run that secured their victory. The Suns demonstrated their dominance on the boards, out-rebounding the Bucks 52-39, and also excelled in assists, recording 22 compared to Milwaukee's 15. Phoenix showcased their shooting prowess, hitting 43.7% of their field goals and 44.1% from beyond the arc, while limiting the Bucks to 41.8% shooting overall and 37.1% from three-point range.

Suns' Standout Performers

Khaman Maluach was a standout for the Suns, contributing significantly with 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and four blocks. First-round draft pick Koa Peat also made a notable impact, scoring 19 points and grabbing six rebounds. Darius Brown added to the offensive effort with 14 points, two rebounds, and five assists, while Koby Brea chipped in with 19 points and two assists, helping to propel the Suns to their second victory of the Summer League.

Bucks Struggle to Find Momentum

On the other side, the Bucks, still searching for their first win of the Summer League, were led by Brayden Burries, another first-round pick, who delivered an impressive performance with 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Bogoljub Markovic supported the effort with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Brandon Boston provided a spark off the bench, scoring 17 points along with two assists.

Both teams are set to return to the court on Wednesday, with the Bucks looking to secure their first win against the Charlotte Hornets at 7:30 PM ET on Prime Video, while the Suns will face off against the Detroit Pistons at 6 PM ET on ESPNU.
