The
Jones steps into the role to fill the vacancy created last month when former general manager Ariana Andonian departed the organization to take on a leadership position with the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. His appointment marks a significant transition for the Blue Coats, who finished the previous campaign with an 18-18 record.
A background in league operations and development
The new general manager brings extensive experience to the Delaware franchise, having spent the last eight years working within the G League offices in New York. During his tenure at the league level, Jones was deeply involved in core operational areas, including player personnel, basketball affairs, and the management of player contracts and transactions.
His professional history also includes a long-standing connection to the 76ers' executive leadership. Jones began his career with the Orlando Magic during the period when Jameer Nelson was a player for the team. Starting as an intern, he steadily progressed through the ranks, gaining valuable experience on both the video and personnel staffs before moving into his broader administrative roles.
Looking ahead to the new season
With the front office transition now complete, the organization is turning its focus toward the upcoming schedule. The Blue Coats are set to begin their 2026-27 G League campaign on November 6, hosting the Capital City Go-Go in their season opener.
