Pant's Emotional Appeal
The 28-year-old wicketkeeper-batter shared his heartfelt wish to relocate from Delhi to Uttarakhand, where he hopes to build his first home. In his post on X, Pant articulated his deep connection to the state, stating, "I love my Uttarakhand." He lamented the difficulties he has faced in finding suitable land, describing the process as a "nightmare." Pant's message included a plea for assistance from the Chief Minister, emphasizing his desire to return to his roots and contribute to the local community.
In his message, Pant wrote, “It’s been three years, and I haven’t been able to find any land. I want to move back to my Pahadi people and help build around Uttarakhand.” His appeal highlighted not only his personal aspirations but also his commitment to promoting the state he holds dear.
Clarification on Land Acquisition
Following his initial post, Pant clarified that he was not seeking any special treatment or free land. Instead, he expressed his willingness to purchase the property at government rates, stating, “A gift would be lovely, but I want to buy it from the government.” He emphasized his eagerness to establish his first home in Uttarakhand, underscoring the importance of facilitating the acquisition process.
In response, Chief Minister Dhami commended Pant for his achievements and his dedication to Uttarakhand. Dhami assured Pant that the matter would be addressed promptly, stating, “Instructions are being issued to the concerned officials. They will contact you soon and ensure all possible cooperation in accordance with the rules.”
