Aamir Lal leads South Korean bowling masterclass

South Korea moved a step closer to a series victory after a clinical performance at the Yeonhui Cricket Ground in Incheon. Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the home side produced a disciplined bowling display to restrict Indonesia to 99 all out in their 20 overs. The innings was defined by the exceptional spell of Aamir Lal, who tore through the Indonesian lineup to finish with remarkable figures of 5/16 from his four overs.

Indonesia struggled to build momentum against the accurate South Korean attack. Kadek Gamantika provided the most resistance, top-scoring with 37 runs from 38 balls, while Kavin Chaddha chipped in with 18 runs off 15 deliveries. Despite these efforts, the visitors were unable to form the substantial partnerships required to set a challenging target, ultimately collapsing in the final stages of their innings.

Dilruksha guides successful chase

Chasing a modest target of 100 for victory, South Korea faced an early setback when they lost their first wicket. The dismissal of Sageer Ahmad at 33 runs in 5.2 overs provided a brief moment of hope for the Indonesian bowlers, but the home side remained composed. Balage Dilruksha took control of the chase, playing with fluency to ensure there were no further alarms for the hosts.

Dilruksha anchored the innings with a commanding 64 off 42 balls, effectively taking the game away from Indonesia. Supported by Alam Nakash, he steered South Korea to 102/2, reaching the target with eight wickets to spare. The win gives South Korea a 2-0 lead in the four-match T20I series, with the home side demonstrating superior control with both bat and ball throughout the contest.
