Facing a daunting target of 229, Namibia began their chase with intent, refusing to let the required run rate overwhelm them. Jan Frylinck led the charge for the hosts, striking a rapid 72 off 36 balls to keep his side in the hunt. Alongside Louren Steenkamp, Frylinck ensured that Namibia remained competitive during the middle overs. However, the momentum shifted decisively when Frylinck fell at 119 in the 11th over. This breakthrough proved to be the turning point of the match, as South Africa managed to tighten the screws during the final stages of the innings.
