Former Indian spinner Murali Kartik has expressed optimism about Kuldeep's potential to take on a more prominent role in the team. Analyzing Kuldeep's statistics under various captains reveals his consistent importance across formats. Under Rohit Sharma's leadership, Kuldeep participated in 62 matches, claiming 116 wickets at an impressive average of 20.92, alongside an economy rate of 4.57 and a strike rate of 27.4, which includes two five-wicket hauls. His tenure under Virat Kohli saw him play 75 matches, where he took 140 wickets at an average of 25.34, achieving four five-wicket hauls with a personal best of 6/25. More recently, under Shubman Gill, he has played nine matches, securing 23 wickets at an average of 27.65, with his best figures being 5/82.
