Trinity Rodman Supports Ben Shelton at US Open Final Following NWSL Match

Trinity Rodman successfully balanced her professional soccer commitments with her support for boyfriend Ben Shelton, arriving at the US Open final in New York after competing for the Washington Spirit earlier in the day. The U.S. women's national team star made the journey to the tennis venue following her NWSL match, where the Spirit suffered a 3-0 home defeat against Boston Legacy FC.

Shelton, who was competing in his first Grand Slam final, began the match against Alexander Zverev without Rodman in his player's box. However, the soccer forward arrived at the stadium before the conclusion of the contest, which Zverev ultimately won 6-3, 7-6 (2), 5-7, 6-2. Rodman was spotted in the stands wearing a shirt featuring Shelton’s face, visibly emotional during the post-match trophy ceremony.

A Supportive Presence Throughout the Tournament

During his post-match remarks, Zverev acknowledged Rodman's presence with a lighthearted comment, noting her busy schedule. The German player joked about her arrival, telling the crowd, "Trinity, I thought you have a game today. Well done to you as well. You're the lucky charm ... not today, but usually."

Rodman has been a consistent fixture at the US Open throughout Shelton's breakthrough run to his first major final. Her attendance included the high-profile quarterfinal victory over defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, a match that concluded at 3:33 a.m., marking the latest finish in the history of the tournament. Earlier in the event, she was seen supporting Shelton during his second-round match while wearing a shirt that read "I (heart) my boyfriend."
