For the 18-year-old Pune native Saishiva Sankaran, the win in the MRF F2000 class marked his fourth consecutive victory of the season. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Bhuvan Bonu from Visakhapatnam added to his growing reputation by clinching his third straight win, building on the double victory he achieved during the season's opening round last month.
DTS Racing Dominates Formula LGB 1300
The day also featured a strong showing in the Formula LGB 1300 Open class, which saw a competitive field of 24 cars take to the circuit. Viswas Vijayaraj from Nellore extended his unbeaten run this season, leading a podium sweep for the DTS Racing team. His teammates Liron Jaden Samuels and T.S. Diljit followed him across the finish line to secure a dominant result for the outfit.
In the junior category of the same class, Kaveen Diyyan Rajapaksa of Momentum Motorsports claimed the top spot, finishing ahead of DTS Racing’s Pranav Ramasamy and Momentum Motorsports’ Shatveer Shetty. The provisional results for the eight-lap F2000 race saw Sankaran clock a time of 12:52.987, narrowly edging out Ishaan Madesh at 12:53.390, with Krishay Gutte taking third in 13:02.171. In the F1600 category, also contested over eight laps, Bonu crossed the line in 14:02.774, followed by Tanmay Kothari and S. Gyan.
