Consistent Dominance Across Racing Classes
In the Formula 1600 category, Gyan Satish mirrored the front-running performance of Madesh. Satish successfully fended off a challenge from points leader Bhuvan Bonu, who secured second place, while Tanmay Kothari claimed the final spot on the podium. Satish completed his run in 13 minutes and 58.546 seconds, narrowly edging out Bonu by less than a second.
The weekend also saw Viswas Vijayaraj continue his remarkable run in the Formula LGB 1300 class. By winning the opening race in 15 minutes and 05.241 seconds, Vijayaraj extended his streak to seven consecutive victories across the first three rounds of the championship. His performance led a strong showing for DTS Racing, with teammates Vinithkumar and T.S. Diljith following him across the line.
Junior and Saloon Class Highlights
The junior category featured a return to form for Nethan McPherson of Delta Racing. After missing the previous two rounds, McPherson made an immediate impact by holding off Momentum Motorsports duo Kaveen Rajapaksa and Adam Junaid to take the win. Meanwhile, T.S. Diljith spearheaded a podium sweep for DTS Racing in the Super Stock class, finishing ahead of Lal Kattikulam Bharathan and Deepa S. John.
In the MRF Saloons category, Aakash Vivek of Redline Racing India claimed the top spot with a time of 17 minutes and 12.082 seconds. He was joined on the podium by teammates S. Gokula Rathinam and R. Hemachandran, completing a successful day for the Redline Racing outfit as the third round of the national challenge continued at the Madras International Circuit.
