Cristiano Ronaldo Included in Jorge Jesus' First Portugal Squad for Nations League

Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in the Portugal squad for the opening matches of the Nations League, marking the first roster selection under new head coach Jorge Jesus. The 41-year-old forward, who recently indicated that this campaign may represent the final season of his professional career, remains a central figure for the national team as they prepare for the upcoming international fixtures.

The squad announcement serves as the debut for the 72-year-old Jesus, who took over the managerial reins following the departure of Roberto Martinez. Jesus, who previously coached the five-time Ballon d'Or winner at Al-Nassr, assumes control of the side after Portugal’s exit in the last-16 stage of the World Cup. Ronaldo, the all-time leading scorer in men’s international football, currently holds a record of 146 goals in 233 appearances for his country.
