The club claims they were unaware of the impending sanction until recently due to a technical failure involving their official email account, which prevented them from receiving necessary updates through the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS).
According to a statement released by the club, the full payment to Guthrie was processed on September 3. Churchill Brothers emphasized that they acted promptly once they were made aware of the situation, completing the transaction within 24 hours of receiving the notification. Following the payment, the club has requested that FIFA lift the registration ban.
