Delegation Inspects Facilities
The CBF representatives conducted a thorough assessment of various facilities, including the stadium, training grounds, team accommodations, and security measures. Their goal was to ensure that Kolkata is fully prepared to host the Brazilian national team. The inspection began at the Yuvabharati Krirangan, where officials examined the training ground, focusing on the quality of the playing surface, turf conditions, goalposts, dressing rooms, and sanitation facilities.
The delegation included notable figures such as Sergio Dimas de Oliveira, the General Supervisor of the Brazilian Football Team, along with Vinicius Barrozo Costa, the Administrator; Jose Vitor Senatore de Paula Lima, the Marketing and Operations Manager; Guilherme Passos Ramos, the Physiologist; and Bruno Mazzei Reis from the Security Department. Their expertise was crucial in evaluating the readiness of the venue for the match.
Accommodation and Security Arrangements
In addition to the stadium inspection, the CBF delegation visited the AIFF's Centre of Excellence in New Town. They also toured a five-star hotel situated near the stadium to assess accommodation options for the Brazilian team. This visit was essential to ensure that all logistical needs are met for the players and staff during their stay in Kolkata.
During their time at the stadium, the CBF officials reviewed key match-day facilities and engaged in discussions with local authorities regarding security and operational arrangements. The inspection was attended by several prominent figures, including Federation Director and former Indian footballer Subrata Pal, IFA Secretary Anirban Dutta, and West Bengal Sports Minister Indranil Kha, all of whom are committed to making this event a success.
