DDCA Secretary Ashok Sharma confirmed that the organisation has maintained strict oversight throughout the tournament, noting that every participating team was assigned a dedicated Security Liaison Officer (SLO). According to Sharma, the association’s security arrangements were designed to be watertight, and the swift reporting by Bedi aligns with the protocols established for the competition.
In light of the development, the DDCA has officially written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to request guidance on how to proceed. The association is also seeking advice regarding broader concerns surrounding fixing allegations, including those linked to a recent sting operation conducted by Tehelka. The DDCA has indicated that it will await formal direction from the national governing body before taking further steps.
