Vansh Bedi Denies Links to Sting Operation Allegations

Delhi wicketkeeper-batter Vansh Bedi has publicly refuted any connection to a recent sting operation that alleged the misuse of confidential team information within Indian cricket circles. The controversy, which surfaced following an undercover investigation involving former domestic cricketer Rachit Bhatia, led to speculation online that incorrectly identified Bedi as an unnamed player allegedly involved in the matter.

Bedi, who was associated with the Chennai Super Kings during the 2025 IPL season and later represented the Central Delhi Kings in the Delhi Premier League, addressed the situation on Tuesday. Through a statement released on his Instagram account, the cricketer explicitly distanced himself from the claims, asserting that he is not the individual referenced by Bhatia during the investigation.

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) also issued a response on Tuesday regarding the broader reports of alleged corruption within the Delhi Premier League. The association described the claims as unverified and cautioned against drawing premature conclusions about any player or franchise based on the current information. The DDCA confirmed that it has formally contacted the relevant authorities to request a thorough examination of the matter through established processes, maintaining that it would be inappropriate to act until the situation is officially investigated.
