Squad Details and Leadership Roles
The selection committee has opted for a split-captaincy approach for the different formats of the game. Lakshya Raichandani has been appointed to lead the One-Day squad, with Yashbardhan Chauhan serving as his deputy. Conversely, the leadership responsibilities will be reversed for the Multi-Day fixtures, where Chauhan will take the helm as captain, supported by Raichandani as the vice-captain.
The One-Day squad features a blend of talent, including Aaryavir Sehwag, wicketkeepers Rajat Baghel and Anvay Dravid, and several promising prospects such as V.K. Vineet, Kushagra Ojha, and Arjun Rajput. The Multi-Day squad includes a distinct group of players, featuring Sagar Virk, Kush Patel, and wicketkeepers Manav Krishna and Abhipray Biswas, among others.
Tour Schedule and Venues
The action begins in Rajkot, which will host the entire three-match One-Day series on September 19, 21, and 23. Following the conclusion of the limited-overs leg, the focus will shift to the longer format. The first Youth Test is scheduled to take place in Rajkot from September 27 to 30. The tour will then move to Ahmedabad, where the second Youth Test is slated to be held from October 5 to 8.
