Isharani Baruah has moved into the women's singles final at the Vietnam Open Super 100 tournament following a clinical performance on Saturday. The third-seeded Indian shuttler navigated her way past fellow countrywoman Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj to keep her title hopes alive in the competition.

The encounter between the two Indians lasted 39 minutes, with Baruah asserting her dominance early to secure a 21-10, 21-18 victory. While the first game was a one-sided affair, the sixth-seeded Ramraj offered more resistance in the second, though she was ultimately unable to force a decider against her compatriot.

In the men's singles draw, former world number one HS Prannoy faced a challenging outing against Singapore’s top seed, Jia Heng Teh. Prannoy, who entered the match as the third seed, struggled to find his rhythm against the Singaporean. The contest ended in a 13-21, 8-21 defeat for the Indian in just 34 minutes, marking a swift exit from the tournament at the semifinal hurdle.
